@SleepeaTea @Aliiwa Personally I do lightly shade my refs because my pieces look incredibly off otherwise. Thing is I absolutely don't care if someone messes up the markings. They're supposed to capture the "vibe" and general similarity of the character - imo matters more than markings.

also for reference this is them & their fused form, though i might change the fused form slightly. might make their hands more claw-like just so that they’re easier to draw. bc otherwise they have no reason for needing claws.

Personally I recommend drawing irises that are slightly (1) or even strongly (2) closer to the nose over irises that are too far apart (3).
(3) looks a bit derp/unhinged imo whereas (2) can look cute imo
(everyone has their own art style blah no right way to draw blah blah 🥱)
