I don't really have any qualms with the remakes art style all that much, but I decided to make a couple of mockups with a different direction.

Not perfect by all means but I wanted to stretch the creative muscle on what I wanted it to look like 💎⚪️

Yeah! The first image is style tests I did in early 2017. The other images are even older illustrations that give a sense of how I was painting back then. I think you can see I was headed in this direction, I just needed to be a bit more intentional with my backgrounds.

These are some okay ears. A little tapered at the bottom for my taste but pretty recognizeable horse ears. Do wish they would the direction of the ears more for mood u_u

I think a more earthy element to the 2nd evo would be good, like some sort of slate plating. As for the worm, I like the concept but I think the direction the head goes in kinda messes with the flow the body seems to going for? Maybe something like this?

SO POLISHED HOLY SHIT. a lot of changes to movement, its a step in the right direction imo but i much prefer the movement of the 2nd game. cute character design!! also banging music and good ass bossfights, bellkeeper was my favorite. 8/10 for me!!
