I feel if there’s anything that has kept me mildly interested in the NES: it’s all the homebrews & bootlegs for it. Moreso the ones that tried to backport games from future systems onto it’s limiting hardware. (Not that they always ended up good)

I don't think I'll understand why people think "Dreamcast Sonic" is a separate character. He's literally just Modern Sonic on older hardware. Even Sega has always advertised him as the representation of the character from Adventure 1 onwards.
