A thriller with incredible characters, amazing OST, perfect art/design, terrific gameplay and some of the most sublime twists and turns I have seen in a story. It EEEAARNS the title of MASTERPIECE!
@Trashqueen_01 This games in a weird spot for me. Gameplay wise, it's not bad at all, hell it's pretty good at times with some caveats, (Color coded enemies being one) But the story and characters are just the worst, that it hurts to hear them sometimes.

@I_Am_JPage @000Angus000 @C64Reloaded I'm not sure it was a *good* game, as far as the gameplay was concerned. But it was one of the very early games I played. It was challenging, I had to work out what spells worked, and I could try for different puzzle pieces. So I enjoyed it. But yeah, it was different for sure.
@essexnumberone @C64Reloaded Yeah. The 16-bit versions looked pretty: big colourful graphics. But the animation was so smooth on the C64 version, and the gameplay just felt better somehow. (Though I'm bound to think that, as the C64 version was the first one I played.) 😁

#RiverCityGirls is a great game and I highly recommend it if you like a fun beat-em-up game.

@ChinnyVision I was able to regularly complete stage one as a kid .. the controls frustrate the heck out of me now -- as does the narrow strip of a gameplay area. It's stressful enough to play even with full time+shield cheats. 😁

Awakening, Conquest, and Shadows of Valentia have some of the best gameplay in the series, IMO. Say what you will about victory objectives and map design, but damn if they ain't fun.
