I continued experimenting.

Until finally I found the seed of something interesting in a portrait of Hillary Clinton.

It was not my most popular piece (for many reasons), but the key was that a lot of the positive response focused on the style.

Recently I discovered the works of and have fallen in love with this style. Each robot is its own story and seems like a book or episode from an 80’s pixelated sci-if world. I see something new every time I look at them and can’t get enough of that feeling of awe. 🤯

Kicking off the little event with these three hanging out, having a little smoke break. Played around with sorta grungy and quick style. I want to get better at textures with different brush pens. Some day I'll get it!
