I've always wanted to learn 3D but it's also something I've felt so overwhelmed by. I've decided to start exploring it now though, so here's my first paint over of a 3D grey box I built in Blender. Definitely not great but I'm glad I've started my journey into 3D 🤘

Im putting my skills to the test to try and recreate my oc in vroid/blender. So far its coming along ok. I love how she's a shapeshifter so I can shape her into whatever I want.

Some old 3d model made with before 2001 and rendered with POV-Ray. only the hand was rendered with Blender.

Firstly, the effect uses UVs, where the Y axis is towards the beach, and the X axis repeats around the island. Creating this was a manual process in Blender. Geometry with UV Y=1 appears as sand, and Y=0 as deeper water without the wave pattern.

It's been a hot minute since I've painted "just a dragon" and for this one I experimented with a rough 3D sculpt + light setup and render in Blender. It came up pretty neat imo 👌

I've been really enjoying and learning more on how to use blender.

I need to get better at smoothing out the movements of the characters cause they look stiff

Other than that there's so much i can mess around with compared to SFM

Decide to start learning 3d with Blender. Having Blast with sculpting. Should've start it earlier.

Contour feathers wip. No proper material, for the quick lookdev. I'm not sure if I like the shaggy look, but it's the best I can do.
Particles are co clunky in Blender. I would love for something like Yeti for Maya to be developed in the future. Or anything better really.

Righty, blocked out most parts, even added a temporary cloak.

Now I just need to decide on wheter I should move it over to zbrush to finish and bake it, or keep it all in blender. Might do a combination of both.

Just something for my skill level in Blender... Nothing ridiculous. I've written the script. Zelda's got quite a mouthful of dialogue.

This little project felt like it could be a lot of fun for a first REAL project in Blender.
