Still a heavy work In progress but I’m happy with the results so far. Feels good to be drawing again.

I'm sure & remember how I LITERALLY wrote the book on North African palaeontology. Then rewrites happened, my dropbox died, covid...

But has told me my book is next up to move into production in the Life of the Past series🥳

I study palaeontology with focus on Pterosaur Evolution. Did SRS XRF chemical mapping on Eocenic Bird fossils for my masters. Also, I work as science consultant for PaleoPines and as an illustrator for 252MYA studio.

A pony I designed based on a friend, and also a PALEONTOLOGY PONY. Keepin' up with that trend of trying to share something every day.

What is the first new dinosaur you remember seeing in the news? For me, I remember being a kid and seeing Guanlong making headlines all over the place. It caused such a stir, for somewhat obvious reasons.

PS- if anyone knows the artists, please comment

Some old stuff. This semi-fantastic theropod is based on Guanlong wucaii. I didn't aim for scientific accuracy, just to train my drawing skills. I've inspired for this work by ani bird (Crotophaga ani).

(2/4) The dinosaur designs are inspired less by contemporary palaeontology, and more by the monster movies of the 1950s and 60s. No feathers, and lots of dragging tails! Some more up to date touches are also included, making the dinosaurs of PROJECT:TEPUI just a little different.
