Yes, it's a little hard to tell since most preview images are pixelated but compare both images from episode 973 and you'll see they add thicker outlines once the filter is applied.

- I've always associated myself with dark colors/black
- i like birds
- I'm a lot of bark with no real bite so a tiny bird of prey made sense
- they're a filipino bird
- thicker arms and legs
- idk at this point when I look at them I think "hey that's me"

I'm wondering if I should draw Steven's chest hair different.

On the one hand, thicker hair forms the shape of her skull & crossbones easier, it's easier to draw, and makes her look more monkey-like, but I also feel like it doesn't look as good?
