By the sword of ink
she fights with herself
& her fractured voice
Writing being
her homeland
that'll collect her
after the battle
with a smile
that is reborn
to disappear again
under the
(s)worded shadows.

Two great Covenanter icon’s are the Bible & of Cpt John Paton. He was executed on the Grassmarket, Edinburgh in 1684. He handed his wife the Bible from the scaffold. The Bible & his memorial are in Fenwick while the sword is held by a descendant but not this one ☹️#vss365

While we were apart, my soul was still to the memories of you, replaying & reliving all the moments we'd spent together. All those glorious summers & intimate winters– us, united in the embrace of a sometimes delicate, sometimes intense pleasure.

If there was a sin the man in the sky blue shirt embodied, it was Sloth.
The man would come each day.
Sit all day.
Demanding his table cleaned.
Demanding more food.
Gluttony took a back seat to Sloth.
was kind.
Never helped himself.
As he sat & ate himself to death.

I graduated summa cum laude, but my cohort tease me for my nature.

Sadly, even with my raging I simply have not been able to motivate my first target. He's always down.

As succubi go, I suck.

He's such a sweet boy, though. I think I'll stick around.

Christian historiography & therefore Renaissance art is littered with women martyred for remaining (e.g. Lucy, Catherine & Ursula). If the woman is not chaste they must be repentant (Mary Magdalene). Has much changed in this victim blaming age? 😔

The music pounded.
The kiss far from
His sharpened nail ran down my sternum.
I shivered as my blood started to flow.
The pain was intense, the pleasure more so.
I gave him access to my blood.
My soul.
My life.
But just for the night, as the music pounded on.

I was once labelled a Then pity turned to

Now they fear me.

How can her body be so flexible, her reflexes so completely outclass our own? they wonder.

I am as much a prisoner without as within - my mouth bound unless the Entity so desires.

At first our felt so good
I'd thought it was a blessing
Planned so many nights for two
You bailed - 'twas so depressing

It bothered me - I grew quite sick
You'd not return my calls
I saw you in another's arms
of judgment - now we're no more

Never considered a true
The bloodline there.
Tainted.
Father a soldier.
Sit here in this forced finery.
Do not belong.
Long to break free.
See the chance.
Run.
Don't look back.
Freedom.
It's in my grasp.
Hear my mother call.
Almost stop.
Don't.
Free.
I am free.

The old beggar tapped with his cane and called out to her. Though his mien was low, he had a countenance. Cato searched in her purse for some change, but he grabbed her hand and whispered in her ear.

“Your life is in danger, seek sanctuary now.”

Death is a fact of life.
He knew that.
After a life lead by the passions of ambition and it wasn't death he feared.
What may await him in death?
If there is truly heaven or hell.
What will be his eternal punishment?
His fear is not death...
But what comes after.

Dark chocolate
dressed in the flavour of plum
Sensual avarice
capturing the swell
of curves
Waves move
over the looking glass
of passion
Lighting fires
in the night

Sunlight takes us by surprise. Our bodies begin to melt. They have created an artificial night to lure us, knowing we, zombies, cannot run.

We enter into their homes. By the virtue of their deception, we will not have to hunt for days. Our preys are with us.
