i spent 3 days on this and I don't even know if it even looks good anymore jfc
anyway sigma cause that duo-tone hair is what make him so aesthetic. oh and he's from doa so
I'm going to shade less too now that Multitone doesn't exist. (I prefer single tone + minimal highlights anyway.) I'm glad Multitone's gone. People abused it SO much.
This is not Multitone. This is LAZY LAYER BLENDING MODES.
(Image is random nonexistent Maldreth/Zane child.)
I remember why I thought Bokuto’s voice rang a familiar tone with me. That’s how I hear Ken’s voice in my head.
@ghostlytrash I mean, if there's anything positive I can say about my art it's that I attempt to try something a bit unique with every new piece I do whether it be posing, coloration, or tone. I still don't really think I'm very good but....
- Drawing for animated feature
- Wolves and birds sketch
- 2 "Photobash" images of a white wolf in a field (character concept art)
The tone is dramatically different for the first two and the last.
If anyone's interested, my art process usually goes like this:
1. Scan sketch
2. Clean up lines
3. Lay on flats in layers per object (sometimes per clothing article)
4. Lock flats by transparent pixel, and do all highlighting and shading by individual tone
Created another alternate version with a darker skin tone just to see how it looked and I kinda dig it. I should play with colors more before I finalize designs.
Then again, I'm crazy indecisive, and more choices just means I'll have a harder time picking.

Quick illustration from last night, with a really summery color palette.
Drawn in CSP: pencil brushes, bg is made using selection from built in assets.
Edited in Snapseed: tone curves, grain, border- text

btw, this last week I remade my DnD token with Xardaar (Dragonborn Paladin) trying to give it a more "natural/slightly GBF-ish" tone
@sharloola smth like this? i darkened her skin tone a lil to make it contrast some more i think i like this 😳
Warmup exercise before I go back to commissions.
Tone control and making my pew pew less poo poo.
@StarryALT @squarandco @PRETTYBlRD No excuses. These pieces I did have light coming from opposite directions but the skin tone stay consistent. why?? Because I actually took the time to learn non-white skin tones, instead of making excuses.
Despite the grim setting the story is meant to be a mix of lighthearted tone and serious storytelling. There’s occasional colorful gore, dead bodies, and some language, so it might not be suitable for young or sensitive readers.
@marumarutaite Despite your voice being clearly masc, I can't help but hearing a slightly androgynous tone in it. The heights in your voice are quite prominent and that made me think of a rather flamboyant androgyn sweetheart!
- London in autumn and winter.
- Glenn Close as Cruella.
- 90s romcom color grading and warm film tone.
I will defend this live action remake because it deserves it. https://t.co/LU7HmoLMhL
