If you have 2+ skinned meshes and you want them to have the exact same lighting you can force them to calculate lighting from the same position by dragging the spine(or any bone) into anchor override. This will force both meshes to sample lighting from the same location

I feel like this isnt hidden knowledge but velos design and personality is based heavily off of jeff Smith's bone creatures. Also my shading/coloring is inspired by gurren lagann. Clearly, two VERY similar things

The arms are mostly done. The muscle part is completely symmetrical, but only aspects of the bone are -- mirrored only the upper portion of the arm and then rescue-ted new spikes and a new base, as well as adding additional build-ups to change the shape a little.
