- Mermaids or Sirens are part human/part fish. They appear in the adventure novel THE ODYSSEY (8th century BC). Famously re-imagined by Andersen, Lovecraft, Disney... and David Bruckner for a segment of the excellent 2012 anthology movie "V/H/S"

My Dutch mother gave me a treasured a copy of Hans Andersen c1915. Dutch illustrator, Rie Cramer was influenced by Beardsley, Rackham & Dulac & had a distinct Art Nouveau style. I love this poignantly naked Little Mermaid once she'd lost her tail.

alguém lembra desse filme? eu amo ele demais e eu assisti essa versão da pequena sereia antes da Ariel, meu primo tinha o VHS e eu assistia umas 15 vezes direto. Essa versão da Toei é de 1975 e é MUITO fiel ao conto de Hans Christian Andersen🥰
