The guy with the bombs. There might've been a point in development where he was a Smithy guy, and perhaps that was changed because bombs aren't alien to Mario games like Swords, Bows, etc. But he's also a "weird, slightly bomb-shaped monster" more than a literal living bomb.

Lloyd Irving

Lloyd reminds me of why I love JRPG tropes. He sports a memorable design, dual wields swords, and has an awesome rhythmic move set. A classic example of an optimistic good natured hero that blends seemingly well with the game's elements.
