reposting this cause I remembered I did this and I'm still proud :D it looks very simple but figuring out and simplifying fungus spores to animate them as light was quite the challenge, even more figuring out the shadows around the fungus

Thumbnail studies for upcoming pieces. This little exercise helped me a lot on simplifying my process which looks a bit like this;
1) shapes of light and dark (2-3 max)
2) middle tones of each plane
3) high chroma colors, opaque lights, softening and hardening edges
