oh yeah, some people asked me if I had more badass Amy content and I forgot I had done a cover sample with her before

it doesn't look as good, everything is huge in this composition, but the colors are nice, so there you go

Homage

Revolutionary Girl Utena has no right charming me to the degree it did when I first watched it, but I'm a huge sucker for both coming-of-age stories. The composition this piece is based off is from a still from the Sega Saturn game.

Don't forget to charge your crystals 🌝🌟

Artistic process rambles: I've been experimenting with limited value pieces/how to value in my compositions. It would be really valuable at the end of the month to analyze what worked & didn't in all my pieces.

Once the main composition was chosen, Gus refined the final sketch with some requested changes to match the original character designs (not done by us)!

We had a clear briefing (both main characters should be heading towards the tower, their backs to us), so started with some thumbnails

The client asked for it to be a composition adaptable for a horizontal AND vertical crop, so that was a challenge!

Rockwell Kent possessed the ability to render parallel universes: creating compositions that were representative, the realism that he claimed to adhere to, and the modernistic, expressing the intuitive versus what he physically viewed.

I have a question.
Is this picture weird?
I do not think.
Also, if you want to make corrections, it is meaningless unless you have the same composition. https://t.co/EUw3N2JEWb

SAGAT Illustration! This illustration is still rough. I Have to revisit it and clean up most of the elements. I wanted to convey an anime character intro type scene. I like the intensity of the composition and the color palette.

non-descript off screen light sources chopping your composition diagonally ftw

Digital, oils and mixed media. I think there are a few similarities. I tend to opt for similar lighting and stable compositions.
