Hey, here's my art summary for this year. It's been a hard one. I'm trying my best every day, and sometimes all I can do is get out of bed. There were some months (Feb and March) where what's here is all I drew. I want to do better next year 😔

This Akiko illustration I did was based on an actual location in Fukuyama, Japan. I've since been back to this location and a once-small tree has now grown so large that it's no longer possible to see this view. :)

I don't think I actually did a 2020 or 2019 art year review. Mostly cause I was in college/just didn't feel as proud about my art back then too. I do love how I kept improving my style/colors over time. The one on the right is a face of art meme I did do for 2020.

The technique here is a combination of traditional painting and 3D art. The old and the new. The background is painted similar to the original painting with many dots and textures. The foreground is 3D but with a twisted perspective. Flat, a way to combine the 2 techniques.
