Looking back, this junya drawing is one of the few that I had any sort of compositional planning for, and while plenty of stuff changed from the black and whites to the finished work, i wonder if I would benefit from starting big more often

It's smaller at the bottom to frame Bambi in comfort and protection.

I need to be more brave with darker values. I fear them sometimes but they are necessary to add some suspense in your composition.
