This is showing the first layer of dark colours I added using Albrecht Durer water soluble pencils, then I've added water to blend it out!
It's looking quite rough and messy right now, but I will be adding many more layers to get the soft, smooth look I'm after in the background

以前、Brecht Evens (ブレヒト・エヴァン)というアーティストのイラスト集を、パリの小さな本屋で偶然見つけた。すっかり惚れてしまったけれどもガチガチの金欠だったので買えず、せめてと思い表紙の写真だけ撮っておいた。最近雑誌に特集が出てたようだ。もうガンガン売れてドンドコ作品描いてくれ。
