All of the fossils. They’re just so goofy and carry so much charm with them. Not to mention they’re pretty scary in competitive right now and I find that hilarious XD

I love Snom! He is one of my favorite new pokemon right next to the fossils. They're all abominations and I love them. I gave this one a hat and his name is Barnelby

I heard a lot of people say that Dracozolt’s design is bad but honestly?? I love it. It’s ridiculous and absolutely incoherent- but that’s the POINT. the whole “scientist who mixes fossils like puzzle pieces” is the set up of a joke and this design is the hyperbolic punchline.

I'm pretty good at hunting down unique opportunities and finding adventure in everything I do. (Example: I find fossils while walking the dog.)

Nobody asked me how I would design Gen 8's "wrong dinos" but I've been thinking about it all day anyway!
I would've based them on the Crystal Palace models of Iguanodon & Megalosaurus (both fossils found in England)
Perhaps their evolutions would be the "correct" dinos. https://t.co/C7P2iPUBNx

So the fossil pokemon in swsh are a reference to the fact that at some point in the uk when people were finding a whole bunch of fossils nobody knew how to properly piece them together so they just threw together whatever they thought looked right

since combining pokemon fossils and bringing them to life as horrifying abominations against mother nature is all the rage at the moment i decided to doodle this idea i had

kabutops and tyrantrum, combined

Today's dinosaur for is Therizinosaurus! A large theropod who lived in the late Cretaceous period. 🦖

This dinosaur's look is based on incomplete fossils, including forearms with gigantic claws (loaning to its name which means "scythe lizard"). 🦴

November 10, 1852, died British geologist Gideon Algernon Mantell who was quite puzzled by strange fossils found in 1822 https://t.co/p9xdqcpYVx Famous for the scientific description of 1st herbivorous dinosaur - Iguanodon - a genus of this group was named after him 🦕

Forgot to post these on twitter! Watercolour illustrations for an upcoming article about Koolasuchus, a giant amphibian known from 115 million year old fossils discovered in Victoria.

First up, Vespersaurus. A noasaurid theropod where the third digit is the sole (lol) weight-bearing digit. https://t.co/hOrnTE4RPt
