I've been playing around with this awesome evolutionary painting tool. Got some really cool results by setting it to favor value more then color, then playing with the result using a channel mixer in photoshop.

Another way to do it, is to just use the studio pen with the opacity lowered and the noise smudge tool. Like what Oda likes to do in recent Jump covers
