I'd say you did pretty good for your first time in 15 years! Are the round pupils a stylistic choice? Because Sonic characters tend to have long oval shaped pupils. Thats the only thing I'd have to say for a critique in all honesty. But if its a stylistic choice that's fine.

Sometimes I have to test out the colors with the grayscale before advancing more on shading the body. Heads tend to be a good place to test if the shadows will work with a certain color scheme. At least to me! XD

These are some of my best pieces so far and I’m hoping to keep improving. I need more practice with full body so I tend to stick to headshots but I think I’m getting pretty good at those and need to push myself to do more as a hobbyist.
