I’m not quite sure how to answer, personally — I do a bit of both.

In my case, I tend to mostly do hard lighting because it suits my style, but airbrushed lighting can also work well for more impactful results. Sometimes I mix both in one image.

I just quickly tested the lighting on the current state of our Trapper artwork. It is helpful for not loosing the vision for an artwork.

wow! you are the far more mature one, imo. Also the gaslighting and flipping the script from "its just a joke don't be so sensitive" tone to a "you really hurt me and need to be more sensitive to that!" tone is jarring.
