Working on a lil something. Had an idea for a cartoonish looking boxer. So decided to give it a whirl in 3D. Tried out a new method of sculpting using blender for the base mesh and then actually sculpting in zbrush. Still a WIP but hopefully I finish this one. Before and after.
@sikyll Decided to "clean" and color the scrapped sketch I did to see how this method of doodle would look like

I wanted to highlight some of the more experimental art pieces I did this year. From different coloring methods to art styles, each of these are unique favorites.

Happy birthday @SparksFurArt ! I hope you have a good one ^^ If you wish a full resolution I can send one via a prefered method!

Apple Weavers They usually live in plains
Their omnivores
their method of hunting is usually tackling into their prey with the red horns
the horns can create two things based on how the apple weaver is feeling 1/2
I'm watching my all-time favorite detective again. It always amuses me to see his method of investigation which is basically annoying people to the point at which they practically confess.
p.s. The drawing is old but I still kind of like it ^_^
"O-okay... here... just a small look before we go out, alright...?"
I wanted to try a simpler shading method for this and I actually really like how it turned out. I hope you all are staying warm this winter!
@anon_koala Hey there I'm Spec15
Im a self taught digital artist, been doing digital art for the last 7 years but 2019 was were I've really improved
My 2020 goal would be to continue exploring what I'm capable of and maybe even test out some different methods of drawing
2019 has been a hell of a year for my art, lots of exciting but hard work and plenty of wild experimentation with style, technique and methods. We'll see if it ever pays off in the form of a consistent style, but I'm having a helluva lot of fun in the meantime!

Anyone who uses a painterly illustration style for their art work, what method do you use? I feel like I'm missing something in my drawings, lol.

Trying this method on skin tones is a little hard 😅 at least its easier to blend colors ☺
