The Gharial looks like some speculative evolution animal ;(

I do both realism and stylized, but when it comes to realism, I usualy create two versions of the same piece: one featuring a living animal, one featuring a ghost in today’s environment. Plus some concept art for paleo games, plus non paleo 3D!

Part 5 of my Ancient Werebeasts, featuring a Mastodonsaurus and a Prionosuchus. The younger one loved with a mermaid, and paid the price for it. Cursed by the mermaid, never again could Wereamphibians step into the sea.

stylized watercolour painting of an anomalocaris!!

Idk what colour they were so I gave it countershading and bright colouration bc i think it suits them and would probably work to their advantage

One timeless classic I don’t think we talk about enough in the paleo community is The Land Before Time.

This movie made you feel wonder, fear, sorrow and triumph, and told an amazing story of unlikely friendships and overcoming your demon(s). What an amazing film

Short 🧵of especially popular sketches. Lot's of but also weirdly enough quite a few partially submerged animals.

Science news: Paleontologists have discovered a bone belonging to the largest otter that lived about 3 million years ago - at the same time as one of our hominin ancestors.

Part 2 of Ancient Werebeasts, featuring Quetzalcoatlus. He's the guy responsible for much of Were-bird culture in my setting, even though he's not a bird. His wife was a Hatzygopteryx
