1 pixel step is fine, can give a single 8x8 repeat building tile (just building internal, not edges obvs)
A 4across and 1 up step gives 4 tile repeat, and a lower slope angle.
An 8 across and 1 up setp is very bad as there are loads of unique tiles :( 👇

ever do a cloth sim and get these ugly jagged edges?
simply just add a triangulate modifier at the end of the stack (especially if you're using subdivision surface) and set to longest diagonal

To help make something‘feminine’ here are a few tips~
Round out the corners, no sharp edges (however pointing the fingers may help give a stylized, dainty look). Think triangles and circles.
Thin lines and softer strokes help give a daintier appearance.
With fingers, keep 🧵

Planning out a new project to be as modular as possible, using trim sheets etc. How can I avoid UV seams when it comes to the edges of different sides of objects, like my image. Or is it just a downside of trims? Interested to hear what people know :)

Exactly. There’s also how this version of Robotnik. He’s evolving into Eggman. And Jim Carrey once said in an interview that Sonic 2 is a mid-life mustache. So he kinda aknowledges that it isn’t Robotnik’s final form. Heck it even looks like a mid point between movie 1 & modern.

I often stop to walk the dog here on my way to the studio, or on the way home, it’s just 3 miles away. When the tide is out of the harbour inlet the sandy edges are so soft that your feet sink in as you walk. 😊🐾🦶
