We can compare Merian’s print to the floral embroidery on this c.1700 stomacher @metmuseum - thanks to my #museumbuddy @IsabellaRosner for finding this gorgeous example. I love how the spacing (maybe?) mimics the spacing on the page of Merian’s print.

Recent more experimental illustration I played with. I’ve always been drawn to colored pencil. The default 6B sketching pencil in @Procreate mimics them so nicely

"A cartoon possibly made by Samuel Ireland in the late 1700s after an original by William Hogarth, which satirizes royalty, episcopacy and the law through a lunar scene revealed by the telescope. The caption mimics real advertising language..."https://t.co/qfsnNoTJn3

Some people in a discord server I'm in were talking about Mimics disguised as people, so I drew this thingy. Also still messing around with shading techniques
Damsel Mimic. Lures brave travelers to help it from self-imposed dangers only to eat them later when they're alone.
@hidero4ca @masuooyama I have a question regarding SCV. What was the reason behind having 3 mimics? Was it intended from the start, or did certain events and limitations result in this decision? Were Elysium & Kilik planned to have original styles? Thanks and have a good day.😊
Another one of my pencil mimics. Dm mento get your very own portrait!
@loganntakamaki Correct m if I'm wrong but I believe Ann has the mix between blue and green, where in some areas they will appear blue and green in others which mimics an actual phenomenon blue/green eyes have. Her portraits show her with teal eyes for that reason even in Royal.
@4ngelicb4by i got inspo from a manga i reading the mc has like a weird ability that mimics a clown?? and i jus thought it was epic 😳😳😳
Drawing this hungry murder box makes me want to draw all different types of mimics! Can’t stop won’t stop! By the way feel free to use this token in your campaigns, just do me a solid and send people my way if they like it. #mimic #dnd #rpg #dungeonsanddragons #TTRPG #fantasyart
