It starts off as a literal thumbnail sketch done on my phone, I flesh it out into a sketch, do a value/lighting map and then add coloring, shading and detail.

My fursona, Lerato, was originally created as part of an expansive story, involving many characters and spanning several generations. It's been a long-standing dream of mine to one day flesh out this story in some way, be it through comics or writing or some other form of art. 🦁

The only thing that gets me about her is her flesh colored fang. People can like what they like and I get the cute factor of the fang. But it kinda freaks me out a little bit how she looks like a jack-o-lantern. Lucky Star had it right the first time.
