This breaks in situations where lines have variable width.
I'm not this sort of programmer, but I have an idea for an algorithmic solution. Map the whole lineart with pixel-fills and 'vector grow' every area at the same rate across the white gaps under the lines, until they meet.

That piece has such raw emotion to it. I’m still shocked it wasn’t more popular. I blame the Algorithm!

This was one of my unloved personal faves. I spent a LOT of time designing Nariko’s look, but alas, there just doesn’t seem to be much love out there.
