The designs are simpler, sure, but the animation doesn't really pay off for it, as it suffers from constantly shifting proportions, awkward movements, and choppy frames just as much as the older show.

I usually spend roughly 3 weeks on each drawing since I work on a pretty large sketch book. Most of it is spent shading. Thats if it goes well, Anna here the first drawing took almost 2 months because I kept screwing up the pose, the proportions, etc. It was a headache man.
