I personally lean towards the latter, nightwing proportions but with icewing scales, horns, and some coloring. I tend to get influenced by fanon a lot in terms of designs.

I also did 2 alternate Sams. I may do a 4th to keep the Sams even XD.Last image is a scrapped rough of the first it was originally going to be a lot different lol. I later used it as a size comp to get the proportions right on each subsequent character.

So I wanted to do male versions of my demon girls too so I draw the blue variant as a dude!
I thought he could be the guy who gets flustered at girls talking to him.
I'm super happy with this pose even if it's not proportionate but who cares.

Updated Nova Ref: With this I wanted Nova to have a more animalistic body as compared to how I have previously drawn her with a more human-like proportion of limbs and such. This was meant to reflect the long ferret-like body of Ringtails (bassariscus astutus).
