In 1962, Marvel cancelled the magazine Amazing Adult Fantasy, which featured Sci-Fi & monster tales. Knowing that issue would be the last no matter what the sales figures, editor Stan Lee persuaded them to try out a new superhero: a teenager bitten by a spider. RIP

honestly I never have been a big Marvel fan but its a shame that comics lost a legend that no doubt inspired millions to draw. write and read comics. farewell to our friendly Neighbourhood Stan man 🙂.

I never got to meet Stan Lee, which I deeply regret.
Today, what I'm thinking about is that he was in his 40s when he and Kirby began the Marvel Age; and that he wrote FANTASTIC FOUR in what he thought was his way out of a business he was done in.
