Blackie is a BIG lion. Not just mane-wise, but think of the Trafalgar lions in London. But can be very gentle and caring. He's a good lion with a big heart, he struggles with his past which can make him seem kinda cold and uncaring.

But he's a good egg.

Tomorrow is the Baptism of Christ, which comes with an important message. We have made the incredible difficult decision to close for worship in our building for the time being. It breaks our hearts to do so, but it comes as a major incident is declared in London.

It's a happy day, so I'm sharing one of my favorite eel history things.

John More (d.1530) said that choosing a bride is like reaching into a bag of snakes & eels (at a 7:1 snake-to-eel ratio) & hoping you grabbed an eel.

This saying became quite popular in 16th C London. 1/3

Design Rule 9:
1998. I spend New Year’s Day in Kensington Gardens in London. I discover a 1912 statue based on a writer’s most famous work. His words more true to me 22 years later. “The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it."
