@mcapriglioneart Well since others are sharing and self plugging. I don't do commissions (I don't feel I'm good enough to even attempt) and I struggle with shading/highlighting, also I don't often do backgrounds. I mostly focus on Fakemon or Kaiju type artwork though.

This whole sequence was very, very fun, especially experimenting with a leaf texture I made. You can see the texture in most trees, ground, and sometimes in the abstract backgrounds. 🍂
I initially made two completely separate backgrounds.
But, I didn't like either as much as the design for Purugly himself. It is based on Blackbeard, using his tail that usually sits on his hip as the fluff in his pirate hat.
I too often scrap things in the eleventh hour.
I definitely have to practice faces...
and backgrounds.
