Norse mythology tells of Skinfaxi (Shining Mane) & Hrímfaxi (Frost Mane) who are the horses of day & night. They meet but twice a day, at dawn and dusk. Skinfaxi pulls day’s chariot across the sky, his mane bringing light. Hrímfaxi brings the darkness of night.
