Is it possible I wanted an excuse to draw a guy sitting in a tree with a flower crown on, absolutely. The pen I used to outline everything was so unforgiving and kept mucking up my colors if I colored too close to it.

I don't really do lineart so I just color over my sketch. On a separate layer I start with my dark color as an “outline”. {also I do my not-so-dark colors on the same layer as the skin flat color} then as I go with shading...
