Yep, I've made some in the past... I found a pack of surplus school overhead display sheets though and... I think it was about $15 for a pack of 100? I forget, I just know it was decently cheap since it wasn't actual animation-grade cels

One more exploration with capsules. Suddenly it works pretty fast and produced quite decent result. I guess next step is creating own assets with scene nodes. Of course there still a lot of limitations but anyway it is good option to parametric controll geometry.
