With the merged layer you can liquify any mistakes and add an optional outline to make your emote more visible when small.

For all the classic point-and-click games (especially if you're fussy, like me), I think it's got to a point with ScummVM now, where they're all best played in ScummVM, rather than the original engine. Then you can tweak *all* the options. 😁
