Nanto trivia:
Shiikuin's design is inspired by Jurōjin, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune, specifically a longevity god. Shiikuin is millions of years old, and a deer fits a wildlife goddess very well, so it was a fitting design inspiration.

i think that may have been in response to the card here on the left - which, even if the color palettes aren't consistent throughout the characters' cards, this one specifically is quite light, even comparing it to this artist's other diavolo card art (the one on the right here)

I drew Damian and Jack dressed in clothes typical of the Indian Wars (specifically, US Army and Apaches, around the 1870s-1880s). This is inspired by an old Vivziepop drawing where Jack was dressed in Native American clothes, and a cowboy Dame was messing with him.

Without a doubt, 2008 specifically. The art from that year is peak "web-comic," and I absolutely love it.

The penguins look perfect. Not too cute - not too silly. Completely believable, and very expressive.

2009-2012 was *too* cutesy, & everything else was far too exaggerated.
