This is found in Celtic Mythology. Scáthach (The Shadow or Shadowy One) was a Scottish warrior queen & martial arts teacher. She was formidable magician with the gift of prophecy & became the Celtic goddess of the dead, transporting those killed in battle to Tír na nÓg.
