I remember some gamers saying ( back then) God of War - Day one edition box art looks much better than the normal box art and more ppl would've bought it if they've swapped them 🥱

I'll make a post about this and give you my opinion on why normal boxart is so important to a game

I think it's funny that the fighterz boxart is clearly ssj2 goku yet ssj2 never appears ONCE in the game outside of stamps

-Pikmin realistic boxart has always been charming

-Radiant dawn is charming with the dawn brigade members + Leonardo dying for some reason

-Warcraft 3 having matching boxes for the main game + expansion showing arthas changes is really nice

-all yoji shinkawa pieces are art

KOF's boxart was definitely a vibe I was going for with Risk System's art:

OK, so I know that this is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things, but this boxart is incredible.

Samus' pose. The background. The colors. The atmosphere. Everything about it tells me what kind of game Metroid Dread is. I don't usually gush over boxart but this looks amazing
