So there was an additional detail in the webtoon version, where Gempa's legs were covered with rocks, which attached him to the ground.
This was quite a smart move, considering that with this support, Gempa could stand more steadily on the ground and not be pushed away easily :D

Chapter's kind of a mess as I was trying to figure out stuff pacing wise and stuck to standalone pages for a bit. Zeppy's redesign was fantastic to me, however. Never made sense that a floating whale had legs. The world also started getting more stylized.
