Half human, half animal but definitley a legendary creature of Persian the Manticore. The name means "man-eater". According to the Roman author Claudius Aelianus it's "a wild beast, powerful, daring, as big as the largest lion".

We really need more Pokémon inspired by Middle Eastern Mythology. And, I know that’s a really broad statement, since it includes Arab, Persian, and Egyptian mythology, but I mean, they’re ALL underrepresented. Some favorites are: Roc, Manticore, Simurgh, and Sphinx.
