Pendant que le Krampselme chassait, le Bonifhanscroufe faisait des essayages.
Deux genres de Père-Fouettard: l'un plus cordial, l'autre plus barbare.

One of my favourite Cornish folktales is The Mermaid of Zennor. A mermaid falls in love with Mathey Trewella, the best singer of the Parish. One day he decides to live with her, they disappear and are never seen again on dry land. 🌊🧜‍♀️

Brontornis

A member of the "terror bird" family, and one of the largest flightless birds discovered, its known mainly from leg and talon remains

ALT: some believe it to actually be an anseriform instead of a terror bird, however one of its vertebrae implies the opposite

For a short while, we were considering drawing inspiration from Cornish history as well as Scandinavian, and I came up with this idea of an undead knight prowling the mountains. We scrapped it for scope and thematic reasons, but boy, this idea slaps. love it
