2009 vs 2019
In 2009 I was still in middle school and I could only draw at school.
(My father didn't agree with the artistic career.)
I was able to pursue my dream only many years later, with much effort and renunciation.
Now I'm happy with what I have achieved.
It feels crazy looking at these. The first is from 2013. It was the earliest drawing I could find that I could date properly. It wasn't until 2016 that I started taking my art seriously as a career and became an apprentice artworker. How time flies 😶

Hoshiai's Kanako speaks to the soul of *all* artists devoted to careers that aren't deemed respectable, but you can tell she particularly channels the frustrations of a very frowned upon field like anime creators & Hoshiai's own crew. She's basically redrawing their imageboards
Both artist and art critic, #JohnRuskin was known as one of the 19th century's greatest geniuses; but towards the end of his career, his work fell into obscurity. A conference this wknd #atTheH makes the case for his enduring relevance and importance: https://t.co/AKz7OXNsL7
oh boy.. 2019 had its ups and downs and was very much the begging of my digital art career, i didn't have a tablet or art program for 5 months and June was more learning the tablet but from there i started improving. i feel i'm getting better with art and i hope i get even better
#Artof2019 I didn't do much artwork this year, but my mindset towards drawing has begun to change.
I feel more prepared than ever to tackle the future of my career.
That being said, here's some of my favourite work from this year.
I've drawn a lot of people through out my career, and to some extent I feel like I've dulled down with lack of inspiration. Then comes along a kindred soul that reminds me of why I do it, for good people like them. (Final request piece of this year)

i don't have updated contact for either artist but dread is my former tiefling now scourge aasimar, reincarnated after a nasty death. a bard/rogue desperately seeking for a way to return themself to their original body. they're angry and angsty and will end your career.
In under two years, JuiceWRLD laid the foundation and more on a solid career - from art direction, merch curation, a fresh sound, and on stage theatrics - he had a promising future ahead of him.
A life lived to 21 is far too young, but music has an everlasting life.
