It would have been so much easier to do the entire status display at the top or bottom of the screen. But they worked really hard on that right panel, and that made it feel a lot more like the arcade, so kudos for that. 👍 Pretty decent port really.

Out of my head there were several Arcade games they would change in said open bar within that Hotel building, including P.O.W Prisoners of War, Cal. 50, Forgotten Worlds, Wildfang, and that one shooter I cannot recollect.

I remember being really unimpressed when I saw Arkanoid in the arcades for the first time. I was all like "but, this is just breakout all blinged-up. It's a type-in game I've been playing and re-playing since the Vic-20!" But I've grown to love its cruel gameplay mechanics. 😁

Pac-Man was the first arcade game I actually remember playing, a cabaret version in Cliftonville Bowling Alley, probably around 1981. Pac-Man fever was rife, and the adults kept hogging the damn thing, but I got a go in the end.
