funny stretch and different texture.
I think it's a better texture? Compared to the other one I was using before? Can definitely see the that it's not like. Seamless though. Still needs a bit of fixing and I think it'll be okay.

The Old Bell Tower. Really happy with these illustration style textures, surprisingly took so long to get bricks worked out.

Question for you- if you don't look at the subjects or colours etc, do you prefer looser rougher lines or more clean lines and colours without texture?

the textures were challenging. i imagine brushes and form simplification would help

There would be a lot of issues projecting textures onto a 6 sided cube. The MDL format didn't exactly have UV islands back then, textures were projected onto a model based on the location of seams. You can see it in the dog texture. The pickups are instead externally loaded BSPs.

it's fun to play with the final fantasy paramon generator and see it get textures very good and even though it doesnt quite make real sprites its applying them to interesting shapes to see patterns in, like this hand here

Well, now her hair is ready to be UV mapped. So I can add the textures. She'll be getting red hair like the main character. She'll be a rockin' redhead from the 80's. And she'll be playable in the game, too! Space Beatz coming soon!

Been experimenting with game ready asset creation and texture work for uni. Developped my own procedural tileable wood texture and made like a bajillion varying walls, planks, beams, etc. to let my team make some buildings!

Alot of experimenting but also, alot of fun :)
