I just use the default 6B pencil and a custom one for pretty much everything!! My trick is just to overpaint everything once you sketch the subject and add base color+basic shading! I hope this helps my explanation!

I don't think you'd need to render anything since your art by default looks clean, it's basically just a refining phase when you don't have lineart - eg. the left part here is unrendered vs. the right one which is rendered

I highly recommend this mod for minis. It's somewhat limited to shorter artwork but it's still pretty great and the pedestal size is a little better than the default custom mini https://t.co/cDQjq9X4r1
