Want to see in action? Just look up. The increase in thick smoke plumes over Minnesota is directly linked to the increase in climate change enhanced wildfires in the western U.S. and Canada.

On Sept. 14, 2020, the satellite zoomed in on Hurricanes near the Gulf Coast, and over the Atlantic. We can also see a blanket of hazy gray smoke from western drifting over most of the country.

Some of the thickest upper level smoke is over greater Boston this morning. You really get a sense for how massive the fires have to be for this amount of smoke to make it all the way across the country and be basically dimming the sun this morning.

The wildfires made me curious about how to help injured animals. So I reached out to my friend who is a permitted wildlife rehabber. She said:
ASK FOR HELP from a PERMITTED wildlife rehabber before intervening. Ask them if they can take it.
Be safe, don’t risk your life. +

Get used to the white sky above. Smoke from the tragically massive western wildfires drifts downwind over Minnesota much of this week. Tuesday will feel like summer.

Four City of Redmond Firefighters and paramedics joined FEMA Washington State Task Force – 1 to help support the search and rescue efforts at the wildfires in Oregon. Thank you Redmond Firefighters for your commitment to protecting the public during these unprecedented fires.

Smoke from wildfires in the Western US will be advected all the way into the NYC Area on Tuesday. Expect a noticeable haze in the sky during the day.

Each month confirms this. Impeachment. Pandemic. Lockdown. People won’t wear masks. Economic collapse. 29M Unemployed. People murdered by police. Protests. Social unrest. Wildfires. Apocalyptic sky. Smoke. ~200k dead. Can’t hug Mom. And still 1/4 year left.
