I’m sure others have better ways (I’m still learning) but here’s a quick timelapse video! Basically I make lineart as usual, duplicate layer and completely fill it, then make the top layer a diff color for reference, and then put lines where they’re needed. Hope this helps!

the skin IS darker and more red-hued; the whole painting is. that's the lighting I chose. here is a part of my rough draft if that helps you understand. by your logic I made the "grey" too red-hued also. this might also give you clarity on the anatomy as there is less shadow
