Another look into the character designs. It helps to get insight on all of this so that artists will have solid references for the future.
The harpy's redesign is one of my favorites!
Creation process:
1/ Inspiration in the form of music, ramblings, the fandom or a random thought.
2/ Scribble away with or without references. Pinterest is good stuff.
3/ Presto, an Oc is born.
Iterations happen over time as I get to know them. :>
These are the main references I'm using. I'm heavily using the figure since I have this figure (because of course I do... It's one of the few possessions I'd go back into a burning building for.)

It surprises me how people that have spent the same amount of time as I did learning digital surpassed me by a huge gap.
(Maybe they found the right tutorial videos or just spent more time playing around with different coloring preferences.)
